Education
Green received his B.B.A. in Finance from Angelo State University and his J.D. from the University of Texas Law School.[2]
Career
After graduation, Green practiced contract law. He was then elected to the Texas Legislature, where he served from 1999 to 2003.[2]

Green was a candidate for the Texas Supreme Court, Seat 3, in 2010. He was defeated by Debra Lehrmann in the runoff Republican primary election on April 13, 2010.[3]

Roughly a year after his failed 2010 election run, Green sued a number of his political opponents and their supporters for libel. Green claimed they made untrue and defamatory statements about him during the campaign that resulted in him losing the election.[4]
