Campaign website

Jones' campaign website stated the following:

ADVANCE AMERICAN IDEALS

Our seminal document, the Declaration of Independence, boldly proclaims that governments derive "their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed." This requires that we protect voting rights and expose and fight partisan gerrymandering. Gerrymandering has become very egregious: in 2018, though Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker lost his bid for reelection; he carried 63 of the 99 state Assembly districts. Such gerrymandering completely circumvents and thwarts the ideals that founded this nation. It creates "elections without representation." Moreover, it destroys faith and trust in representative government.

FAIR TAXATION

Something is fundamentally wrong when self-proclaimed billionaire Donald Trump can in one year spend 350 times as much paying prostitute porn stars as he does paying federal income taxes. When the wealthiest individuals and corporations avoid paying their fair share of taxes it imposes increased burdens on middle class working families. Recipients of tax cuts worth tens of millions do not use the saved money to support local businesses and eat out more often. Instead the money is used to purchase assets, such as land, contributing to asset price inflation which makes housing less affordable or even out of reach for many.

COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change needs to be a priority as it affects our quality of life for us and future generations.

REDUCE HEALTH CARE COSTS

Americans should not have to pay higher prices for prescriptions than people in other nations do.[2]
