Scroggins ran for election to the Jefferson County General Sessions Court.
General: He was defeated in the general election on August 7, 2014, after receiving 26.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Lu Ann Ballew, Jason S. Randolph, W. Keith Repass, and Dennis Roach II.
