My name is Rick Walker.

I am a born again Christian, Father of 2 beautiful children, and the Husband of an amazing Wife Samantha.

I was born in Marlton NJ, spent time in Williamsport PA, and then Stratford NJ. My family has called North Carolina home since 2011, specifically Clayton since 2015. 15 year employee of Southwest Airlines. One passion of mine is coaching Girls basketball and Little League baseball. Being active in my own and other children's lives has been the most rewarding experience of my life, especially being from a broken fatherless home and realizing how important it is to have a positive male influence in your life as a child.

  • I believe Representation of, by, and for the People, not corporations and special interests.
  • We must take pride in our community, which starts with having pride in our country. America First
  • Liberty and Freedom must not be infringed and must be defended at every level of our government.
Education

Our Education system needs to be reformed with more parental influence and less bureaucratic influence, and much less federal interference. I fully support vocational and technical schools and believe there should be one in every county.

Taxes
Taxpayers should be protected over the interests of corporations and developers, and I will push to see impact fees do just that. I support eliminating the state personal income tax.

Pro-Life

I wish to see the abolition of abortion in NC and in the meantime see more prevention efforts and care for those who have chosen abortion and are experiencing the negative effects abortion brings about.
I am hard working, honest, dependable, and accountable. I work as hard as I possibly can to be the best I can be at whatever I am doing. My work ethic and the pride I take in my work is what drives me. I have also worked with people from all over this country including immigrants from other countries. My experience with People from all walks of life is invaluable when it comes to representing a growing and diverse District.
The first responsibility is to always represent the People and your community over everything else. Others including being present, accountable, and honest. The People need to trust in their Representatives that he/she will have their best interest at heart.
The legacy I would like to leave is one that reminds people that We the People can be part of our governance. We can work hard to get elected, and work even harder to get things done, and represent ourselves over all else.
I was a dishwasher at Ponderosa at 15 years old. I lasted about 6 months, probably longer than I deserved to.
My favorite political books are Plunder and Deceit by Mark Levin, and Radical Son by David Horowitz. Both books were highly influential in forming my political outlook and "walkway process"
I was a product of a broken home. I had drugs and alcohol in my family since I was born. These two things contributed to me not making the best decisions as a young adult. Although those were struggles, I take great pride in saying I turned my life around, left the vices behind, and have been happily married to the same woman and our children's home has never broken. We broke the cycle. That is my biggest success in life so far.
Managing growth and the corporate influence surrounding the growth, as well as the global ESG movement.
Redistricting should be done in accordance with the NC Constitution, by the NCGA, not judges.
At this point I am concentrating on representing my NC Houee district the best I can. If God puts me on the path to the US Capitol I would gladly follow that path.
Compromise is necessary at times as long it does not go against your core values, and what got you elected.
