I am a Christian, Father, and Patriot. I am Mississippi born and raised, and my family has been here for over a century. I studied Forestry and graduated from Mississippi State University. I am an outdoorsman at heart, and my career has been in the timber industry. I still believe that the Republican party is the party of Conservatism, but we need to do a better job living up to that title. Too often, we have Republican candidates that say one thing on the campaign trail, then vote the opposite way in Jackson. While I would rather be in the woods than in Jackson, I believe that Mississippians deserve candidates who will truly represent their values and defend their freedoms.
I am particularly passionate about infrastructure and our economy. There is a limited and proper role of government, and I believe that prioritizing infrastructure and the economy both fall within that. The government should be using taxpayer money to make our communities and our state safer. Highway 7 is the most dangerous stretch of highway in Mississippi, and it has gone unaddressed for three decades. We also must start implementing policies that help boost the free market and the economy. I want to make Mississippi a place where our young people have plenty of opportunities to grow and thrive.
