Rico Smith (Republican Party) ran for election to the Florida House of Representatives to represent District 67. He lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Smith also ran for election to the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners to represent District 6 in Florida. He did not appear on the ballot for the Republican primary on August 20, 2024.

Biography
Rico Smith was born in Tampa, Florida. He began serving in the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 2016. Smith earned a high school diploma from Middleton High School, an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force in 2018, and a bachelor's degree from Trident University International in 2019. His career experience includes working as a healthcare consultant. He has been affiliated with the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay and the Hillsborough County Hospital Authority Board.[1]

|Rico enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserves in 2016 and commissioned in 2022 as a Second Lieutenant. Rico obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Trident University International and his Associates of Arts in Biomedical Technology from the Community College of the Air Force
At MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, Rico currently serves as a Finance Officer at the 927th ARW and previously served as a Biomedical Technician at the 927th ASTS. As a total force capacity Airman, Rico ensured the combat readiness of medical devices for his home unit and active-duty counterparts.
Rico is a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County and a strong advocate for all of its residents. Alongside his board service and professional life, Rico volunteers his time with local veterans’ organizations such as the U.S. Congressional Veterans’ Advisory Committee.
