2016
Tessandore submitted the following statement of political philosophy to Ballotpedia on August 22, 2016:
“ |
Raised by a single mother in Fall City, Washington, the idea of being a judge was beyond any dream I could have imagined. I am the first college graduate in my family. Following years of hard work, serving as a judge pro tem for a decade, and achieving professional success, my goal is that all individuals have access to our courts, and that our justice system does not price litigants out of ability to pursue justice.[2][3] |

Rico Tessandore has the experience we need on the Superior Court: as a pro tem Judge, prosecutor and trial attorney. This is why he’s endorsed by both Democrats and Republicans and 19 Snohomish County Judges. We can trust him to be a fair judge, who knows the law and respects the Constitution. Rico Tessandore brought hundreds of criminals to justice as part of the Prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit, protecting both children and the elderly. With over 17 years of experience as a trial lawyer – both as a prosecutor and civil litigator — Rico has a uniquely balanced perspective that will serve our community well. Raised in a small rural Washington town by a single mother, Rico worked his way through school to become the first college graduate in his family. Rico lives in Everett with his wife Anna and their children, Lily and John. Rico Tessandore is endorsed by the leaders we know and trust. Every member of the Snohomish County Council: Wright, Dunshee, Ryan, Sullivan, and Klein. Senators Hobbs, McCoy, and Liias. Former County Executive and Sheriff Lovick.
