Riga Township Levy Renewals, 2 (August 2010)

Two Riga Township Levy Renewal measures were on the August 3, 2010 ballot in the township of Riga which is in Lenawee County.

Both measures were approved

The first measure sought to renew the fire district levy of $1 per $1,000 of assessed property value for two years in order to help pay for general operations costs of the fire district in the township.

  • YES 147 (69.34%) Approveda
  • NO 65 (30.66%)

The second measure sought to implement a road levy of $2 per $1,000 of assessed property value for two years in order to help pay for the repair and improvement of roads and bridges in the township.[1]

  • YES 139 (65.26%) Approveda
  • NO 74 (34.74%)[2]
