Three of the five seats on the Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Education were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbent Cecilia Iglesias filed for re-election and faced six challengers: Mark McLoughlin, Beatriz Mendoza, Rigo Rodriguez, Alfonso Alvarez, Bruce Bauer, and Angie Rosario Cano.[1] Iglesias won re-election, and Rodriguez and Alvarez won the other seats on the ballot.[2]
