Rik Mehta (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent New Jersey's 6th Congressional District. He lost in the Republican primary on June 7, 2022.

Biography

Mehta's campaign website describes him as "a biotech entrepreneur, innovator, [and] healthcare policy expert," as well as a licensed attorney and pharmacist.[1] Mehta owns and runs a consulting firm, R&R Strategies, and works as a partner at Licentiam, a healthcare licensing technology firm. His professional experience also includes working as a Consumer Safety Officer at the U.S.Food and Drug Administration and teaching as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center and Rutgers University's School of Health Professions.[2][1] Mehta earned a bachelor's degree and J.D. from Rutgers University, a Pharm.D. degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and a joint LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center and the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.[1]
