Rita Heard Days
Rita Heard Days (b. October 16, 1950) is a former Democratic member of the Missouri State Senate. SHe represented the 14th District from 2003 to 2011. Days served as Assistant Minority Floor Leader.
Days earned her B.A. in Music from Lincoln University in 1972. Days is divorced and has three children.
Days is an Executive Director for Mid-County Partners for Progress. Days was on the Normandy School District School Board from 1985 to 1994. She won a special election to the Missouri State House of Representatives in November of 1993. She served in the House until 2000. From 1996 to 2000, she was House Majority Whip. She then joined the Missouri State Senate in 2002 and has served in that position since.
