A River Rouge School District Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the River Rouge school district, which is in Wayne County.
This measure sought to renew the current school levy which is set at a rate of $17.35 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further ten years in order to continue to pay for operational costs in the school district. It was defeated.

Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in the School District of the City of River Rouge, Wayne County, Michigan, be renewed by 17.35 mills ($17.35 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of ten( 10) years, 2013 to 2022, inclusive, to provide funds for operating purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2013 is approximately $3,300,000?[1][2] |
