Tarrah Dobson is the superintendent of the Riviera Independent School District. Dobson was hired as superintendent in May 2024. Her previous career experience includes working as a teacher, principal, director of academic affairs, and district testing coordinator.[1]

Past superintendents

  • Patricia Thornton is the superintendent of the Riviera Independent School District. Thornton was appointed superintendent in June 2021 and served until 2024. Thornton's previous career experience includes working as the principal at Kaufer Early College High School, a school within Riviera ISD.[2]
  • Karen Unterbrink was the superintendent of the Riviera Independent School District from 2011 to 2021.[2] Unterbrink's previous career experience includes working as the assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction of the Taft Independent School District.[3][4]
