Bare was elected to the Eighth Judicial District Court. He defeated Ellen Stoebling in the general election, winning 54.15 percent of the vote.[2]

Education
Bare received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.[3]
Career
From 2007 until his election to the Eighth Judicial District Court in 2010, Bare served as a judge for the Las Vegas Municipal Court. He also previously served as a chief prosecutor for the Nevada State Bar and as a trial attorney for the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps.[4]
2013 judicial performance evaluation
In 2013, the Las Vegas Review-Journal sponsored a survey of 902 lawyers who rated Nevada Supreme Court justices and judges located in Clark County. 80 percent of respondents voted in favor of keeping Bare on the bench. The average vote in favor of retention for all 88 judges evaluated was 71 percent.[5]
