Rob Burgess was the campaign manager for Asa Hutchinson's (R) 2024 presidential election campaign. Burgess resigned on October 31, 2023.[1] Burgess has worked as a strategic political consultant since 2015.[2] He was a senior advisor to Bo Hines' (R-N.C.) 2022 U.S. House campaign and to Trey Hollingsworth's (R-Ind.) 2016 campaign.[3][4] Before becoming Hutchinson's campaign manager, Burgess was senior advisor for communications and strategy to Hutchinson's PAC, America Strong & Free PAC.[2]

Career
Burgess graduated from Ball State University in 2008, where he studied political science and campaign communications.[4] He began his career working as a field coordinator for Americans for Prosperity. He worked in Communications for the South Dakota Republican Party in 2014. In 2017, Burgess worked as the director of communications for Rep. Trey Hollingsworth (R-Ind.), and in 2020 worked as the director of communications for Rep. Mike Garcia (R-Calif.).[2]
Before 2024, Burgess worked for several presidential campaigns, including Carly Fiorina's (R) 2016 campaign, John Kasich's (R) 2016 campaign, and Donald Trump's (R) 2106 and 2020 campaigns. He had also worked on at least six Republican U.S. House campaigns, two mayoral campaigns, and one lieutenant governor campaign.[2]
From November 2022 to April 2023, Burgess worked as the senior advisor for communications and strategy for America Strong & Free PAC, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson's (R) leadership PAC. From April to October 2023, Burgess served as the campaign manager for Hutchinson's 2024 presidential campaign.[2][1]
