Expand all | Collapse all

Four years ago, nobody asked politicians running for office how they would respond to a worldwide pandemic. Sadly, we have seen that too many people in positions of power decided that granting themselves more power was the correct course to follow. The result was business-killing lockdowns, medical mandates, and a flood of inflationary new spending.

We cannot know what the next two or four years will bring, so it is important for voters to know more about the values a candidate will bring to office. I respect individual rights and the United States and Pennsylvania Constitutions that enshrine them. I know that more government usually makes problems worse, as the past two years demonstrate so clearly. I want to empower families to make their own decisions about healthcare and education. I remember an optimistic President who chose a path of individual liberty, lower taxes, smaller government, and patriotic love of our country. In only a few short years it was morning again in America. I believe that we can renew the promise of America and Pennsylvania again if we rededicate ourselves to the founding principles that made our land the envy of the world.

  • Economy Pennsylvania is blessed with an abundance of natural resources that we need to use in an environmentally responsible way. Tapping our vast reserves of natural gas will help bring down the cost of living, provide good paying jobs, reduce carbon emissions, increase tax revenues, and enhance national security. Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. We can support them by reducing the tax and regulatory burdens they face. There must be no more lockdowns.
  • Safe Communities The past two years have seen an explosion in violent crime spreading out of urban areas into suburban and rural communities. We need to fully fund our police and other first responders to ensure that they are properly staffed, trained, and equipped to do their vital and dangerous jobs. Prosecutors who fail to do their jobs need to be removed or bypassed. Too many violent offenders are not given punishment commensurate with their crimes, which teaches them that they can get away with it again.
  • Election Integrity Free and fair elections are essential to our way of life. If the people do not have confidence in the electoral process they will not trust the results and will be discouraged from participating. We can restore integrity to our elections by requiring Universal Voter ID and eliminating mass “No Excuse” mail-in ballots and drop boxes.
Education

If there is anything good about the lockdowns of the past 2 years it is that parents have discovered that their children are too often being indoctrinated in a radical leftist ideology, while basic education is ignored. To end this, we must ensure transparency in the curriculum and instructional materials used and provide for more accountability to parents, including the right to choose the best educational options for their children.

For too long the focus has been on pushing students toward college, which often leaves them heavily in debt and unprepared to earn a living. A renewed emphasis on vocational and technical training can ensure Pennsylvania has the workforce needed to attract businesses to our state and provide a good living for our citizens.
