Biography

Rob Epstein earned a high school diploma from Sprayberry High School and a bachelor's degree from Georgia State University in 1998. He also attended Shorter University and Kennesaw State University. Epstein is retired.[1]

I’m here to listen, learn, and serve every single citizen in my district regardless of beliefs and background. From the shores of Lake Allatoona to the vibrance of Etowah Mill and all the neighborhoods across Cherokee County, our community is full of promise. I've spent my professional career building enterprise-level web applications and, for the past 20 years, helping individuals build a career they can be proud of. Together, we can build a better Georgia rooted in community, opportunity, and hope for all. Let’s work side by side to shape a future where everyone belongs and thrives, right here in District 23.
  • Too many Georgians struggle to afford quality healthcare. Rural hospitals are closing, insurance costs are rising, and many families are forced to choose between medical care and other necessities. Gaps in coverage and access persist, especially in underserved communities. We can build a Georgia where everyone has access to affordable, high-quality healthcare—no matter their income or zip code. By expanding coverage, investing in providers, and lowering costs, we can ensure healthier families and stronger communities across our state.
  • Too often, government decisions are shaped by special interests and big money, not the needs of everyday Georgians. Many feel their voices are not heard, and trust in our democratic institutions is eroding. We can restore faith in our democracy by putting people first. By making government more transparent, accountable, and responsive, we can ensure every community is fairly represented and every voice matters.
  • Skyrocketing rents and home prices are putting safe, stable housing out of reach for too many Georgians. Corporate landlords and speculative investors are driving up costs, while working families struggle to find affordable options. We can make Georgia a place where everyone has access to a safe, affordable home. By investing in housing, protecting renters, and supporting first-time buyers, we can build stronger, more stable communities for all.
After having personally cared for my wife of 25 years through a 4 year cancer battle that took her life May of 2025, I know the importance of access to affordable, quality healthcare. After retiring in August 2025 and purchasing insurance off the marketplace and I personally attest to the failings of our private insurance system. If we were using insurance from the marketplace during my wife's cancer battle we would have most certainly had our lives turned upside down, dragged down the unfortunate path of financial ruin. Not because we chose cancer, but because cancer chose us. No one should ever have to face a choice between healthcare or paying the mortgage, not in the wealthiest nation on the planet. We can fix this, together.
