I first stepped foot in Oklahoma on a college visit to the University of Tulsa in 2004. In the 20 years since, Oklahoma has become HOME for me. It’s where I trusted Christ, earned my Mechanical Engineering degree from TU, met and married my beautiful wife Rebekah, had three amazing kids, started my own business, and have faithfully served my community.

At heart, I'm a businessman and a family man, not a career politician. But I am asking you to send me to the Capitol to ensure we can give our kids and grandkids the life and opportunities they deserve. I will fight to protect our freedoms and promote traditional family values in a society that is increasingly hostile to those ideals.

My widely varied experiences have also uniquely prepared me to serve in this role:
- Studying Mechanical Engineering at TU taught me to think like a practical problem-solver.
- Serving for nine years in a full-time ministry role taught me about leadership and human nature.
- Working in the corporate world as a Project Manager at a Fortune 500 energy company taught me about the value of strong institutions and the dangers of bureaucracy.
- Starting my own business taught me about the power of hard work and the gratification of helping students achieve their dreams.
- Being a father to my three young children has taught me about self-sacrifice for the good of those who come after you.

I'd be honored if you chose to support me with your vote!

  • As the father of three kids who will be Oklahoma born-and-raised, I recognize that now is a pivotal time to strengthen the foundations of our state. We must act to secure our freedoms and ensure prosperity for the next generation.

In the face of numerous societal institutions that are increasingly captured by radical, left-wing ideologies, I will champion traditional conservative values, policies, and vision in the Capitol. I firmly believe that those principles are the best path to human flourishing.

Oklahoma is poised to be the next great American success story, and I can’t wait to play a small part in making that a reality!
  • If elected, I will strive to govern wisely with every decision I make. A relevant aspect of my background is that I have been blessed with a sharp mind: -Earned a Perfect Score of 36 on the ACT -National Merit Scholar -Graduated with a 3.95 GPA in Mechanical Engineering, (Minor in Physics) from the University of Tulsa. But I am keenly aware that intelligence is not the same thing as wisdom. Just look at the current state of our nation’s Ivy League universities if you have any doubts about that! I promise to use the abilities I have been entrusted with to understand the complex issues that affect all Oklahomans. I will apply my deeply-held conservative principles to pursue real solutions, not just parrot talking points.
  • Oklahomans have repeatedly given conservatives a mandate to govern, and now we have the opportunity to prove that conservative values and policies truly do create a better society. And the good news is, it’s already working! 2022-23 US Census Bureau stats show that Oklahoma was a Top 10 state in Domestic Net Migration (people relocating from one state to another) with a total net addition of more than 80,000 people in this category since 2020. Americans are rejecting liberal governance in blue states by voting with their feet, and they are flocking to Oklahoma! I will work tirelessly to keep up the momentum and demonstrate to the rest of the country that the reddest state in the nation can be the best state in the nation!

Anything by Thomas Sowell, but especially "The Vision of the Anointed" - This book is an in-depth discussion of the fundamental problem with the worldview of much of the modern American political left.

Off the Grid with Thomas Massie - This is a short documentary about Congressman Thomas Massie from Kentucky. Mr. Massie and I have a lot in common: We're both politicly engaged Engineers; we share a passion for Liberty, limited government, and personal responsibility; and we both have rural family roots that have shaped our worldview. After watching this documentary, my wife commented, "He's like the leveled up version of you!" And I have to agree with her assessment! It's well worth the 38 minutes of your time.

State Representatives are tasked with voting on legislation that spans an incredibly diverse range of issues: from economic policy to energy policy, road repairs to regulatory reform, public safety to public education, and everything in between.

My varied professional experiences as an Engineer/Project Manager for a Fortune 500 energy company, a College Pastor, an Investor in public markets, and an Entrepreneur in the educational space—along with my roles as Husband, Father, and Community Leader—have uniquely equipped me to understand the complexities and interconnectedness of Oklahoma’s economy and society and to fulfill the responsibilities of a State Representative.

I promise to do the hard work necessary to stay up-to-date and informed about the issues that affect us all.

I will listen to my constituents concerns and faithfully apply conservative principles to represent their priorities and their values.
When I was 14 years old, I got a job bagging groceries and collecting shopping carts from the parking lot at a local grocery store.

One unexpected benefit of that job was that I learned to tie a necktie before any of my peers because our dress code consisted of slacks, a dress shirt, and a tie.

And I don't know if you've ever pushed a dozen heavy shopping carts through a black asphalt parking lot in the middle of the summer while wearing full business attire, but it was quite the experience!

But apparently, I didn't learn my lesson because the next job I got was at a moving company. And spending my summer loading bulky furniture inside of a semi-trailer with no ventilation parked on a black asphalt road turned out to be even more uncomfortable than my adventures in the grocery store parking lot! But at least this time I didn't have to wear a tie!

Scorecards

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
