Rob Mason (Democratic Party) was a member of the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 16B. Mason assumed office on December 1, 2018. Mason left office on December 1, 2020.

Mason (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Idaho House of Representatives to represent District 16B. Mason won in the general election on November 6, 2018.

Biography

Representative Mason was born in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, and as of January 2020 resides in Boise, Idaho. He earned a bachelor's degree in environmental biology from Georgia Tech and a master's degree in renewable natural resources from the University of Arizona. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service from 2001 to 2008, as executive director of the Selway-Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation from 2008 to 2013, and as Central Idaho Representative for the Wilderness Society beginning in 2013. Mason co-founded the Boise Bike Boulevard Coalition, served on the board of the Sunset Neighborhood Association, and on the board of the Idaho Trails Association.[1]

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
