I am an engineer, problem solver, project manager, Mayor. I retired after 25 years of engineering so I would have more time to solve the tough problems in our community more broadly across many areas of government. My biggest accomplishment was founding Silicon Valley Clean Energy electricity provider. In the 5 years since we started delivering power we have saved our customers $77M and avoided 575M lbs of greenhouse gases.

I am a doer with a long history of volunteering my time to make our community better. The 1st thing I did when the Pandemic hit was deliver groceries and hot meals to the most vulnerable that should not leave their homes. I am in my 2nd decade as a service club member and leader where I have chair events raise funds for scholarships, music and art, feed the homeless and others in need, and support a variety of non-profits. I volunteer with Rebuilding Together, West Valley Community Services, and environmental organizations.

  • My broad experience in the community and local government makes me the most qualified to bring the resources and solutions to better our community
  • Climate change is our most pressing problem. With my 3 decades of working on environmental issues, 7 years developing products for the solar industry, and 6 years on the board of an electricity provider I am the only candidate qualified to move the needle in the fight against climate change.
  • Many years as a project manager and engineering manager has honed my skills of bringing people of diverse opinions and skills sets together to find common ground and create the best solutions.
In addition to climate and the environment mentioned above, education is extremely important for ensuring the next generation is prepared and will have a quality of life equal or better than ours. I regularly use my engineering and business background to teach STEM labs and enterprise leadership. As an assembly member I will ensure everyone has access to head start so no one starts behind, schools are fully funded, and community colleges have the variety of career tracks that help students to a 4 year degree, a traditional vocation, or prepare them for jobs in the tech industry.

Bringing resources to solve homelessness and housing that is affordable for all ranges of income is critical to improving the quality of life for all.

I also believe improving transit is important for our community to thrive so people have commute options that improve their quality of life and save on vehicle miles traveled.

I will bring resources to our local jurisdictions ensure safety and security. As Mayor, I made emergency preparedness a priority. The town has engaged with our citizens to create the best fire prevention and emergency plan in the county and we are well through implementing it. We have also put a priority on making sure our officers have broad training including deescalation techniques and handling mental health related calls with empathy.
Yes. Most government is implemented locally. The decisions state legislators make have large impacts on local government. A legislator with government experience can help to minimize negative impacts and maximize benefits.
Absolutely. A legislator can not get anything done with out the votes from a majority. It is important to understand what is important to another legislator so you can write bills they can support and you can support what is important to them.
Yes. I believe it is critical. My career has been in project management where bringing people together of different skill sets and perspectives are critical to coming up with the best solution.
