Reyes is a native of San Antonio, Texas. He and his wife, Karen, who is employed by the district, have two children at Pflugerville ISD. He has his associate degree from San Antonio College and his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. At the time of his tenure, Reyes was a strategic business development planner.[1]

Three of seven seats on the Pflugerville Independent School District board of trustees were up for at-large general election on May 6, 2017. Place 6 incumbent Larry Bradley defeated former candidate Matt Robertson and newcomer Cliff Styles in his bid for re-election. Place 7 incumbent Rob Reyes ran unopposed. A special election was held for the Place 2 seat. Candidates Jacob Betz, Tony Hanson, and Charlie Torres ran for the seat, which came with a one-year term. Hanson won election for the seat.[2][3]

2014

The district was scheduled to have elections on May 10, 2014, however canceled them because both seats were unopposed. Reyes was re-elected by default.[4]

Results

The district canceled the board member election since they had only two candidates who ran unopposed. Incumbent Rob Reyes and former Pflugerville principal Larry Bradley won the seats by default.

Voters approved a $287 million bond proposal that addressed district growth, safety and security and campus parity across the district.[5]
