Robb Cunningham
Robb Cunningham (Libertarian Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Missouri's 1st Congressional District. He lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Cunningham was a 2016 Libertarian candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 1st Congressional District of Missouri.[1]
Cunningham was a 2014 Libertarian candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 1st Congressional District of Missouri. He previously sought election to the District in 2012 but was defeated by William Lacy Clay in the general election.[2] He was defeated by incumbent William Lacy Clay (D) in the general election on November 4, 2014.
Biography
Cunningham was born in Overland, Missouri, where he attended Mt. Pleasant Christian Academy. He then attended Abilene Christian University, North Texas State University, Webster College and William Patterson College in pursuit of his music-business degree.[3]

Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Democratic. Incumbent William Lacy Clay (D) defeated Steven Bailey (R) and Robb Cunningham (L) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Clay defeated Maria Chappelle-Nadal and Bill Haas in the Democratic primary, while Bailey defeated Paul Berry to win the Republican nomination. The primary elections took place on August 2, 2016. Clay won re-election in the November 8 election.[4][5][6]
