Robbie Fletcher is the Kentucky Commissioner of Education. Fletcher assumed office on July 1, 2024.
Biography
Robbie Fletcher earned a bachelor's from Morehead State University and a master's from the University of Kentucky. His career experience includes working as superintendent of Lawrence County Schools.[1] The Kentucky Board of Education appointed Fletcher in March 2024 and the Kentucky State Senate confirmed his appointment in April 2024.[2]

The Kentucky Commissioner of Education is an appointed state executive position in the Kentucky state government.
The commissioner of education serves as chief executive of the Department of Education and is responsible for administering, structuring, and organizing the Department and its services.[3]
