Robby Carter
Robby Carter (Democratic Party) is a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 72. He assumed office on January 11, 2016. His current term ends on January 10, 2028.
Carter (Democratic Party) won re-election to the Louisiana House of Representatives to represent District 72 outright in the primary on October 14, 2023, after the general election was canceled.
Carter previously represented the district in the state House from 1996 to 2008.[1]
Biography
Robby Carter, as of April 2020, lived in Amite, Louisiana. Carter earned a bachelor of arts from Southeastern Louisiana University and a law degree from Louisiana State University. Carter’s career experience includes working as an attorney.[2]

A primary election was held on October 24, 2015, with a general election held in districts where necessary on November 21, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was September 10, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. CDT.[3]

If no candidate does, the top two vote recipients from the primary advance to the general election, regardless of their partisan affiliation.

Hunter Carter and Robby Carter advanced to the November 21 runoff, where Robby Carter won election.[4][5]
