Robert Asaro-Angelo was the New Jersey Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development. Asaro-Angelo assumed office in 2018. Asaro-Angelo left office on January 30, 2026.

Biography

Asaro-Angelo founded Working Solutions, LLC, in 2017.[1] He served as the eastern regional representative for the U.S. Department of Labor from 2010 to 2017. He previously worked for the Laborers International Union; the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees; and the Service Employees International Union Local 1115.[2]

Political career

New Jersey Commissioner of Labor & Workforce Development (2018-present)

Asaro-Angelo was appointed as acting commissioner by Gov. Phil Murphy (D) in January 2018.[2] He was confirmed by the New Jersey State Senate on March 26, 2018.[3]
