Robert B. Hanson is a district judge of Iowa District 5C. He was appointed to this position in 2003. Hanson was retained to another six-year term in the 2010 general election. He was retained again in the general election on November 8, 2016.[1][2]
Biography
Hanson received an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and a J.D. from the University of Iowa.[1]
After graduating from law school in 1981, he clerked for the Iowa Supreme Court for a year. He was in private practice in Des Moines for 21 years before joining the bench in 2003.[1]
