Born and raised in Texas, I came to Ct in2001. Now, a Navy Veteran and business owner, I am tired of seeing my home City be neglected by the legislature in Hartford. The best way to overcome is to become the person to make the difference.
I am a critical thinker who values people and their experience and knowledge. I listen and value other people's expertise without judgement. Ths quality is instrumental in properly representing ALL.
I'd like to bring Marijuana to a legal status in the State while also reforming our Prison structure to release non-violent marijuana offenders and expunge their record.
Also, I'd like to be a champion for helping to bridge gaps between our Law Enforcement and our Community.
9/11 was the most impactful Historical Event. I was 27 years old, in boot camp. I was sitting at the base of my rack (bed) polishing my boots. The command came in and ordered everyone from New York to the office. Moments later, they filed out of the office one by one. One Sailor said, "They bombed New York." I cried for our Country and became more driven to serve our Nation.
Robert Kiosaki - Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It was THE book that opened my eyes to a whole new World of my relationship with money and success in my life.
I grew up in a dysfunctional household full of Mental and Physical abuse. I've had to fight those Demons through therapy and education to overcome the natural depression that is the result from abuse.
We all have to start somewhere. There are many people who have a great amount of experience in Government that can guide or teach newcomers.
Our taxes and spending are out of control. We need to dial back the spending by auditing every page of the budget in every department to find the fraud and overspending.
We're all on the same team. We must work together in the best interests of the Public we serve. I am ready to work across the isle with all other Legislators.
I am interested in building relationships and experience to be the best candidate for future races. We will see where life takes me.
