I am recently retired CEO of Charlotte Metro Credit Union now Skyla Credit Union. I held the position of CEO for 40 years, leading the credit union to assets of over one billion dollars and 100,000 members in the Charlotte area. We focused on serving the financial needs of the underserved in our market, on a not for profit basis. In my role as CEO, I frequently met with political leaders on all levels of government. This fostered my interest in politics and desire to serve the citizens of North Carolina.
  • I am progressive in my view of how government can help improve the lives of our citizens. My focus will be to help the middle and lower income people obtain a better education and opportunities for their families.
  • I am pro choice on all women’s healthcare decisions.
  • I will work towards better pay for teachers, police and all who serve the citizens of NC.
Education, crime reduction and government transparency.
I have always looked up to my father who worked for IBM for his entire career.
Integrity derived from a high level of trust and honesty. Elected officials should possess a history of demonstrated competence and success in their lives. They should have the ability to get things done through working with people.
Honest, collaborative, hard working, transparent and a proven leader.
The assassination of JFK in 1963. I was 7years old. Very sad as I thought he was a great leader.
After college, I have worked in the credit union industry all the way to my recent retirement. Not a job hopper!
