Robert Burgess censured by Louisiana Supreme Court

Louisiana: This week, the Louisiana Supreme Court publicly censured Judge Robert E. Burgess for violating the code of judicial conduct. The censure was the result of a 2010 investigation by the Louisiana Judiciary Commission. The investigation found that the judge used his professional connections to help a relative obtain a protective order. In addition to the censure, Burgess must also a pay a fine of $1,738.[1]
