Robert C. McClelland
Robert C. McClelland was a judge of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Ohio. He assumed office on March 28, 2011. He left office on January 5, 2021.
McClelland (Nonpartisan, Republican Party) ran for re-election for judge of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Ohio. McClelland lost in the general election on November 3, 2020. He advanced from the Republican primary on April 28, 2020.
McClelland was appointed to the court by Governor John Kasich to fill the vacancy created by the election of Judge Eileen Gallagher to the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals. He assumed office on March 28, 2011. In the November 2010 general election, McClelland ran for a different seat on the Court of Common Pleas but was defeated. In the November 2012 general election, he won another term in his appointed seat.[1] McClelland was re-elected to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas in 2014.[2]

McClelland received his B.A. in speech communications from Denison University in 1975 and his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University in 1980.[1]

McClelland was elected to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He narrowly defeated Cullen Sweeney in the general election on November 6, winning 50.16% of the vote.[4][5]

McClelland competed for a seat on the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He won the Republican primary election and was defeated by Maureen Clancy in the general election.[8][9]
