Howdy. My name is Robert Chick. That’s C-H-I-C-K like a little bird. I’m from Sanger, TX, graduated from Sanger High School and attended college at Texas State University, which some of you may know as Southwest Texas State. Notable alumni include George Strait, Charlie Robison, and Lyndon B. Johnson. I own a small healthcare recruitment firm. If you want the rest of my bio, go to my website StickWithChick.org and you can read it there. As far as political experience is concerned, I have none which didn’t seem to matter two years ago, so I only ask that my constituents keep the same standard that they had then. I’m not raising, soliciting, nor accepting donations of any kind. I don’t ever want there to be a doubt in your mind who I work for & I don’t believe you need money when it comes to fighting for what you believe is right. I will never lie to you; Lying is the gateway sin. I’ll never tell you what you want to hear, I understand that will not make me popular. My job is not to be popular; my job is to make sure my constituents have up-to-date, unfiltered information to make informed decisions, craft laws that make your life better, to solve problems that you have, and to advocate for you, to make sure your voice is being heard at the top levels of government. The question you should be asking, & the question I ask myself, before I vote is “Will this person to deliver results that make me, my family, and my community better?”
  • America's problems have solutions. We need leaders who are bold enough to solve them. Right now, we do not. By solving problems together, we can bridge the division we're facing as a country right now. We can disagree without being divided. But only if we start solving problems. We can lower your property taxes and give young working Americans a fair chance at becoming homeowners, but ONLY if we ban foreign and domestic private equity firms from OWNING homes, not just buying them. We can lower the cost of basic goods & services like groceries and healthcare, but ONLY if we go after global food conglomerates & insurance companies that make their profits ripping off working Americans.
  • We can have an America where we disagree with each other without being divided, but ONLY if we start working together on solving problems. And that’s not going to happen with cable news interviews, or funny little tweets,. That’s not how serious people operate, that’s how influencers operate. We don’t need more influencers, we need more serious people. Solving problems happens with real legislation that serves Americans rather than corporate interests or billionaire donors. It’s going to happen with real, purposeful, hard work, done by real people like you & me. Not Ivy League investment bankers from out of town telling you how scared you should be of the world around you. That’s not the Texas Spirit, we don’t play the victim, and ...
  • Look, this has to be an America where we force our government to respect & abide by the Constitution, the greatest thoughts ever put to words. This has to be an America where we live by the Gospel, and practice tenets like brotherly love, forgiveness, & grace. And this has to be an America where we, our children, and their children can look to the future with hope and optimism. All of America’s problems have solutions. But we can only solve them with bold ideas & leaders who can win, not just fight. So I’ll make you this promise right now: I will always stand for you, I will always fight for you, but most importantly, I will win for you. No matter the odds, no matter if we control congress or not, I will still deliver results.
The American zeitgeist is generally negative right now. Most people don't feel super pumped about the future. We need to get back to a more positive mental image of the future that all American's can have hope in.

Campaign website

Chick's campaign website stated the following:

Insurance Transparency

You deserve an answer as to why your insurance premiums continue to rise year after year. I intend to get you one.

Americans are fed up with rising premiums and the lack of transparency about where your money goes. It's time to get down to the bottom of this issue and get you some answers.

Investment in youth homeownership in Texas

We need to invest in our nation's youth with purpose. In order keep Texas' economy and community dynamics strong, we need to focus on making sure the American Dream is attainable for the youth who are willing to work for it. I'll advocate for first-time homeowner incentives with reasonable borrowing terms so young Americans everywhere can start families and contribute positively to the communities they call home.

Support Texas Community Hospitals

Hospitals provide communities a critical service. They can't be allowed to close because of bureaucrats in Washington. Small community hospitals across the country are under attack due to reckless budgetary cuts from the federal government. I'm going to fight to get our hospitals the federal money they need to continue healing lives.

Eliminating Social Security Tax

You've earned it. You get to keep it. Taxes on Social Security generated roughly $55 billion dollars in 2024. While that may seem like a lot, it's a paltry sum compared to the entire United States budget. While individuals over 65 can now claim a $6,000 deduction, why should the elderly have to chase benefits that they've earned? I'll bring legislature to the floor of Congress that protects fixed income from government greed.

Denton County VA Hospital / Federal Courthouse

Denton County is the largest county in Texas without a VA hospital or a federal courthouse.

It's said that where Denton County goes, Texas follows and where Texas goes, America follows. We are the largest county in Texas without a VA hospital or a federal courthouse. My Day 1 priority will be bringing these valuable services for our veterans, job creation for our citizens, and prestige for our county right where they belong: Denton County.

Texas Electricity & Water Allocation

Texas resources to Texans, not out-of-state cryptocurrency miners and datacenters.

There have been far too many examples of big corporate entities coming to Texas, chasing sweetheart tax-exemptions, to drain our beautiful waterways and jack up electricity prices for their profit. I'll fight to bring legislation that protects communities from corporate raiders and puts the power back in the hands of citizens.

Private and Public Education

We have the money to fund the choices parents want to make.

We must refuse the false dichotomy of whether to fund private or public education in our state. There's enough money to properly fund both; the problem is how it's being spent currently. I pledge to fight so we don't fall into a tiered education system while also allowing parents the freedom to choose where and how their children are educated.
