A petition to recall City Councilmember Robert Crisjohn was circulated in the city of Yale, Oklahoma. The petition was in circulation for two weeks as supporters tried to reach the required 70-signature goal to place the recall on a future ballot. According to the petition, there are no specific accusations towards the commissioner, only stating: “The above named Commissioner has not acted with the best interests of the City of Yale in mind.[1]
Path to the ballot
The petition was last mentioned as being reviewed by the Payne County Election Board in order to validate signatures. Maurice Lozier, former city commissioner and supporter of the recall, stated that 74 people had signed the petition. Supporters needed to turn in 70 valid signatures to force a recall. As of December 2015, this recall effort appeared to be abandoned and Ballotpedia discontinued active coverage. Please contact us if new developments occur with this recall effort.
