Robert Crumpton is a judge of the 23rd Judicial District of North Carolina. He was elected on November 4, 2014, to a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[1][2]

Crumpton ran for election to the 23rd Judicial District.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 27.0 percent of the vote. He competed against Donna L. Shumate, Tracie McMillan Jordan, Fred Bauer, and Regina Gillespie.
General: He defeated Donna L. Shumate in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 51.2 percent of the vote. [1][3] 

Judicial performance evaluation

In July 2014, the North Carolina Bar Association released the results of a survey in which it asked lawyers to rate the judicial candidates for the trial courts. The candidates were rated from one to five on five different criteria as well as on their overall performance.[4]

Crumpton received his B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his J.D. from Wake Forest University.[5]

Career

Before his election, Crumpton was a partner of Crumpton & Johnson, Attorneys at Law.[6][7]
