Robert D. Martin (Wisconsin)
Robert D. Martin was a judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. Judge Martin was appointed to the Western District of Wisconsin in 1978. He was chief judge from 2013 to 2014. Judge Martin retired on September 30, 2016.[1][2][3]
Education
Judge Martin graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 1969.[1]
Career
After law school Martin worked for Ross and Stevens specializing in bankruptcy litigation until he was appointed to the bankruptcy court in 1978. He participated in the National Bankruptcy Review Commission in the mid-1990s.[1]

National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges
Judge Martin was a member of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ) and served on the Board of Governors of the from 1988 to 1991. He went on to serve as secretary in 1994, and as the conference's president in 1996.[1]
