Robert Dowd
Robert Dowd was a judge of the Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District. He assumed office in 1994. He left office on December 31, 2020.
Dowd was appointed to this position by Democratic Gov. Mel Carnahan. From 1998 to 1999, he was the chief judge.[1]

Judge Dowd received his B.A. from Quincy College and his J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law.[1][2]
Career
Judge Dowd began his legal career as an attorney in private practice. He was elected magistrate judge of the 22nd Judicial Circuit in 1978. He became an associate circuit judge in 1982 and a circuit judge in 1985. He held this position until his appointment to the court of appeals in 1994.[1][2]
