Robert D. Downing was a judge in the Louisiana Court of Appeal First Circuit. Downing was elected to the First Circuit Court of Appeals in 2000 and he retired on July 31, 2010.[1][2]

Education

Downing attended high school at Zachary High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and his law degree from the LSU Law Center. Downing and his wife, Pam, have three adult children.[2]

Career

Prior to his election to the Court of Appeals, Judge Downing was a Louisiana District Courts judge for 15 years. He also served in the U.S. Naval Reserves.[2]
