Robert E. Littlefield is the Chief Judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Northern District of New York. He was appointed on May 1, 1995, and reappointed to a 14-year term in 2009. His current term will expire on April 30, 2031.[1][2]

Education

Littlefield earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver and a J.D. from Albany Law School.[3]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Littlefield served as a Chapter 7 and 11 Trustee, as well as a Chapter 12 and 13 Standing Trustee. During his tenure on the court, Littlefield once served as a member of the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Second Circuit.[4]
