Robert Simison is the mayor of Meridian, Idaho. On March 11, 2020, President Donald Trump appointed Simison to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.[1]

Simison was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 21A of the Idaho House of Representatives.

Simison ran in the 2012 election for Idaho House of Representatives District 21A. He lost against Steven Harris and Parrish Miller in the Republican primary on May 15, 2012. Craig R. Kreiser ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
