Robert Ekstrom was a 2014 Constitution candidate for District 16 of the Oregon State Senate.

He was a 2012 Constitution candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 1st Congressional District of Oregon.[1] He lost to incumbent Suzanne Bonamici (D) in the general election.[2]

Ekstrom earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Middlebury College in Vermont in 1962. He is the founder and owner of DoorWorks Co.[3] He serves as an appointed member of the Columbia County Charter Committee.

Ekstrom resides in Scappoose, Oregon.

Elections for the Oregon State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Betsy Johnson was unopposed in the Democratic primary. She also ran as a write-in candidate on the Republican party ticket. Robert Ekstrom ran as a Constitution Party candidate and Perry Roll ran as a Libertarian candidate. Andrew Kaza also ran as an Independent and Working Families Party candidate. Johnson defeated Ekstrom, Roll and Kaza in the general election.[4][5][6]

Ekstrom lost in the 2012 general election for the U.S. House, representing Oregon's 1st District. He ran as a Constitution candidate and faced Suzanne Bonamici (D), Delinda Morgan (R) and fellow minor party candidate Cody Reynolds in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2]
