Robert Enriquez (born in Honduras) is a former Republican member of the Illinois Human Rights Commission. He was served in that position from 2005 to 2011. On September 28, 2009, he announced his candidacy for the statewide office of secretary of state, challenging Democratic incumbent Jesse White in the general election.[1] He, however, went on to lose in the general election on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010 after receiving only twenty-seven percent of the vote.

Professional experience

Enriquez was named in 1999 to head the transfer of a foreign Ford automotive capability company from overseas to Glendale Heights, Illinois. Six years later, he was appointed to a state mandated Republican seat on the Illinois Human Rights Commission where he helps modify or reverse adjudicated punitive and damage complaints throughout the State under the Illinois Human Rights Act.
