Fitzgibbons ran for election to the Howard County Justice Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 48 percent of the vote. He competed against Linda Calvio and Dale L. Walker.Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, Fitzgibbons faced Walker in a runoff election on May 27, 2014.[1][2][3]
