Robert Flaherty (b. October 11, 1948) is a former Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 23 from 1991 to 2013.

Biography

Flaherty earned his B.A. from Providence College in 1970, his M.P.A. from the University of Rhode Island in 1975 and his J.D. from Suffolk University in 1979. His professional experience includes working as a partner for Flaherty and Lawrence.[1]

Flaherty filed to run for re-election in District 23, but did not qualify for ballot placement.[2]

Flaherty won re-election to the 23rd District seat in 2010. He was unopposed in the September 14 Democratic primary election and defeated independent Timothy Howe in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3][4]

In 2008, Flaherty was re-elected to the Rhode Island House District 23. Flaherty (D) ran unopposed and finished with 4,958 votes.[5] Flaherty raised $10,185 for his campaign fund.[6]
