Robert Gibson

Robert G. Gibson is an associate judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He first joined the court as a regular circuit judge on August 2, 2010, succeeding Judge Perry R. Thompson. However, he lost a bid for election to that position in 2012.
On September 27, 2012, Gibson was appointed as an associate judge to succeed Carey B. Pierce.[1][2][3] He was reappointed to a full term in 2015.[4]
2012 election
Gibson ran for election to a full term on the circuit court in 2012. He was unsuccessful in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012, receiving 32.1% of the vote in the three-way race.[2]

Education
Gibson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1980 and his J.D. from the University of Illinois School of Law in 1983.[1][3]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Gibson worked in private practice.[1]
