What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
Teacher Salaries, Student Safety and Student Achievement.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Teacher salaries Attracting new teachers by paying them salaries that is equal to other districts. Moving salaries of current teachers to the level of other districts to keep our current teachers in the district.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
My father who taught me right from wrong and always told me to get a good education .

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Voting on agenda items one at time and not be influenced or pressured by others to vote their way. To make the right decisions for all students within the district .
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
My 40 years in education working with five school districts and volunteering my time within the school district here.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
To be honest and honor what's tires in you.
What legacy would you like to leave?
That I made the difference.
What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?
A dream come true...working for the National Football League, the NFL as a Field Photographer. Not many can attest to this.
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Busing tables at the Holiday Inn. I was employed for four years while I was in high school .
What is your favorite holiday? Why?
Thanksgiving, because it's all about family and friends.
What is your favorite book? Why?
The art of multiple track recording. I am a musician singer, songwriter and guitar player and enjoy the recording studio.
If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?
John Lennon one of the best musician and songwriter to ever live. He stood for peace, something we seem to lack now days .
What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?
The love of my family...without that there is nothing.
What was the last song that got stuck in your head?
Kid Charlemagne by Steely Dan.
What is something that has been a struggle in your life?
Overcoming adversity.
What is the primary job of a school board member in your view?
Voting power and what it means to teachers and students.
Who are your constituents?
Have none .
How would you support the diverse needs of your district’s students, faculty, staff, and community?
By making the right decisions for all!
How will you build relationships with members of the broader community? Which groups, organizations, stakeholders will you specifically target?
By greeting all with a smile and getting to know my fellow trustees.
What will you do to build a better relationship with parents in the district? What plans do you have to be inclusive of parental involvement?
By being open and honest with parents and building trust with each and everyone of them that I meet. Parent involvement with each and every school within the district.
Do you believe it is important to intentionally recruit with the aim of diversifying the district’s faculty, staff, and administration? If so, what would be your policy to achieve this?
To be open and honest and create an environment of all working together as one big family.
What issues get in the way of quality education? How would you address these obstacles?
Voting on issues and not being influenced by others. Taking each decision one at a time and making decisions on what's best for the teachers,students, faculty and staff.
What constitutes good teaching? How will you measure this? How will you support advanced teaching approaches?
Getting results from students is a great way to measure success. I support all new programs that will help achieve an advance our students into the next level of their lives ie...College or Vocational schools.
What type of skills should students be learning for success in the 21st century?
Speaking a foreign language and learning Computer and technical skills...
How might you improve the value of a high school diploma? What should a 21st century diploma reflect?
Who diploma should get you to pass college entrance test. I support programs that help students achieve that goal.
In what areas would you like to expand curriculum? For example, do you see a need for advanced technical training or apprenticeships? What sort of innovative programming would you advance if given the opportunity?
I support technical training because college is not for everyone so while in high school I support classes that aren't aim to college but more for technical training. We need college programs and technical training programs both in high school.
What strategies or plans would you advance to ensure the schools are properly funded?
By monies given by the state be shared equally to student, teachers faculty and staff and overall programs within the district.
What principles drive your policies for safety in schools?
More parent involvement.
How might you support the mental health needs of students/faculty/staff?
I support mental health needs and I think school districts should have more special Ed teachers, psychologist and staff to support students with special needs. I support funding mental health programs.
What role do you imagine technology playing in (and outside) the classroom in the future? How would you prepare the district for this?
I support all students having chrome books. Technology is in an all around us and I support using chrome books in grade school through high school.
