I was born, raised & raising my own family in the district. I attended Nathaniel Greene Elementary, Slater Jr. High & graduated from Shea High School in 1987. I have been involved in youth sports for over 30 years including being The President of Fairlawn Little League. I am a retired Correctional officer & now work as the Athletic Director of Davies High School My mother still lives in the same house I grew-up in. I am married to my wife Marissa & have 3 children Brendon, Cooper & Victoria.
  • "A State Senators principal job is to ensure that our government represents our values and the diverse nature of our community." I will bring a common-sense approach to government that the people of Rhode Island deserve. I will unite our community and put in place proactive policies, so we are not just reacting to what happens.
  • Community. We have seen a surge in bias-related crimes in our city and country. We must be clear and resolute: discrimination of any kind is unacceptable. As a diverse community, we must celebrate immigration and our diversity as the pillars of what makes Rhode Island original.
  • . Education/Youth. Our children are our foundation to the future. We need to make sure our youth have access to top notch educational programs. I will fight until EDUCATION IS A RIGHT under The RI Constitution.
Veterans/65 & Older/Gold Star Parents. Every veteran or persons over 65,

get a $50,000 tax exemption from the residents' appraisal. Any Gold Star Parent
receives 100% tax exemption from a residents' appraisal.
Small Business. Small business is the backbone of America's economy. They took
a tremendous hit during the shutdown because of Covid-19. I will submit a bill that
would protect small businesses if anything like Covid-19 happens again.
Affordable Housing. I will work to ban housing discrimination & provide more
money for affordable housing. Ensuring adequate funding for affordable housing and
eliminating barriers to housing development.
Communication/Accountability. I will hold monthly meetings with the
community to discuss the issues that matter most to the people in the community. I
will attend every meeting in the State Senate. A State Senator needs to be present at

meetings so our community's voice can be heard.
There are several people, mainly the coaches & teachers i had. They always showed that they put their needs last behind helping anyone.
I am fair and constant. I believe that my honesty and ability to listen to people while wanting to help them is some of my stronger points.
To listen to their constituents and be their voice in the state house. Need to be honest and transparent on all issues. Its also very important that you show-up. missing 10,15,20,or,25% of the sessions is inexcusable.
I dont care about legacy just as long as i leave the community in a better spot then when i entered service.
Pawtucket was having a controversy about the Nativity Scene Downtown I was in the 4th grade. I wrote a letter to the Editor stating lets keep it. and it was printed.
Delivering the Pawtucket Times, after school. I had that job for 3 years.
The biggest difference is there are less Senators then n the House of Representatives. but they both need to work jointly for the best results for Rhode Island.
No, I think as long as you are running for the right reason, wanting to help out the community is the most important part.
Covid-19, how we bounce back, schools, business & economy.
One of respect and listening to one another. Together you can get so much more accomplished.
Yes its always a good idea to have relationships with anyone you work with. Its ggod to get others opinions on issues.
I believe redistricting needs to be done but it has to be fair and equable.
Yes, I was talking to an old friend of mine and he was telling me about him having to deal with a kid calling him a racial name in school. I said he never had anyone to go to get it to stop. I felt bad that 1 I didn't know this was going on and 2 that he felt he had no one to talk to about it. This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed in the community.
