Robert H. Straus

Robert H. Straus is a former justice for the New York County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 1st Judicial District of New York. He was also an acting justice for the Bronx County Supreme Court, beginning in 1994.[1][2]
Education
Straus received his B.A. degree from Franklin and Marshal College and his law degree from the New York University School of Law. He also holds an M.A. degree from Hofstra University.[2]
Legal career
Straus began his career as a private practice attorney. He later joined the Legal Aid Society as a staff attorney. He then worked as an Assistant District Attorney for Nassau and Kings Counties and was a U.S. Administrative Law Judge. He was appointed judge of the New York City Criminal Court in 1987 and was designated acting justice of the Bronx County Supreme Court in 1994.[2]
