Robert J. Gigante
Robert J. Gigante was a judge of the Richmond County Surrogate's Court in New York. He assumed office in 2008. He left office in 2018.
Education
Gigante received his B.A. degree from the University of Dayton in 1969 and his J.D. degree from the Ohio Northern University School of Law in 1972.[1]
Career
Gigante began his career in 1972 as an attorney for the Legal Aid Society's Criminal Defense Division. He then worked as a partner of the firm of LaRosa & Gigante from 1976 to 1979. He continued to work as a private practice lawyer on his own until 1992, when he became Counsel to the firm of Lee, File and Amtzis. His judicial career began in 2000, following his election to the Richmond County Supreme Court. He then joined the Surrogate's Court in 2008.[1]
