Robert Lamutt
Robert Lamutt was a Republican candidate in the 2011 special election for the Georgia House of Representatives, District 43. The special election was called to fill the vacancy created when Bobby Franklin (R) passed away in late-July 2011.[1]
Lamutt served in the Georgia State Senate for five terms and holds an MBA in finance from the University of Georgia.

Lamutt was defeated by John Carson (R) in the October 18, 2011 special election runoff by a 1,250-668 margin. Carson and Lamutt were the top two vote-getters in the September 20 open primary, defeating Geraldine Wade (R), Don Hill (R), and Roy Barnes (R).[2][3]
