A special election for the position of Florida State Senate District 25 was called for November 6, 2018. A special primary election was called for August 28, 2018. The candidate filing deadline was June 22, 2018.[1]

The vacancy was created when Joe Negron (R) announced in May 2018 that he would resign.

Robert Levy and Gayle Harrell faced off in the special election. Levy was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Gayle Harrell defeated Belinda Keiser in the Republican primary.[2]
