Robert M. Ferrieri is the chief judge of the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court. He was first appointed to the court in 2008 by Governor Donald Carcieri (R) and was sworn in on October 7, 2008. He was appointed the chief judge by Gov. Gina Raimondo and sworn in on June 20, 2016.[1] He will serve for life or until he chooses to retire.[2]
Education
Ferrieri graduated from Providence College in 1982 and received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1985.[2]
Career
Prior to his judicial appointment in 2008, Ferrieri worked in general practice, focusing mainly on workers' compensation, civil litigation, personal injury law and real estate.[2]
